Wolverhampton Grand Theatre has crowned the first Wolverhampton South Asian Dance Champion at the inaugural South Asian Dance Competition, JUST NAACH!
Bollywood, Bhangra, Regional Folk, Indian Classical and South Asian Fusion are just some of the styles that make up the wonderful world of South Asian Dance.
Winners - Ultimate Bhangra by Parambeer Samrai took home 50 tickets to the pantomime Aladdin at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre in December as well as a winner’s trophy.
On the evening, a range of local dynamic dance acts competed including Jodi Dancers, Colton Hills Community School, Avneet Kaur and Aaja Nachle Let’s Dance.
The live celebration of South Asian Dance in Wolverhampton and The Black Country was hosted by Manpreet Darroch.

Director of Operations and Development at Creative Black Country Sajida Carr, GBSLEP Director of Communications and External Affairs and Freelance Broadcaster Satnam Rana

Wolverhampton Grand Theatre , Vicky Price said; “Wolverhampton has a vibrant culture we were excited to be a part of this event which saw over 450 people attend from which 70 % had never been to the theatre before!!
